It indeed is like that in most other sectors too. As is said in Buddhism, "On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime" :: "It also states that, if the minds of living beings are impure, their land is also impure, but if their minds are pure, so is their land." Life is just not fun and gun, it is bigger than the picture we see, understand and comprehend. We all are inter-dependent and one single entity. Yet ignorance of this basic Buddhist fact, leads us to become victims of our own accepted norms and conditions. It is a choice, we made long back... Very good observation.. of life in India.
