Superheros! Who is your favorite?

Superheroes are comic character, which do not exist in real life but deep down in our heart & mind we want them to be real.

Well 3 very famous Hollywood superheroes are Batman, Spiderman & Superman. There are many more, but from the popularity perspective these three are the top rated.

All the three superheroes protect New York City. Batman protects Gotham city & Superman protects Metropolis, both are fictional city based over New York. Why did New York need all the protection? :) May be it has got most number of criminals. ;)

So who is your favorite one?

Bill’s favorite is Superman. Who Bill? Have you seen Kill Bill? Bill (David Carradine) is the one Kiddo (Uma Thurman) wants to kill. Well, this blog is not about Kill Bill, so let’s continue what Bill likes about superman… Here is what he says:

“As you know, l’m quite keen on comic books. Especially the ones about superheroes. I find the whole mythology surrounding superheroes fascinating. Take my favorite superhero, Superman. Not a great comic book. Not particularly well-drawn. But the mythology… The mythology is not only great, it’s unique. Now, a staple of the superhero mythology is, there’s the superhero and there’s the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When that character wakes up in the morning, he’s Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic Superman stands alone. Superman didn’t become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he’s Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red “S”, that’s the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears – the glasses, the business suit – that’s the costume. That’s the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent. He’s weak… he’s unsure of himself… he’s a coward. Clark Kent is Superman’s critique on the whole human race. “

Well to a great extent I really liked his theory on Superman.

    Its very true Nitin. Infact, we can compare that to ourselves. We are sometimes like Clark Kent and sometimes we become Superman. It depends on our attitude when we face challenges in life. Life is never about going round and round around obstacle, its about challenging it head on. And..it requires wisdom n courage n common sense. All the best n takecare.

    When it comes to superheroes, none can beat “Spiderman”. The memories of this great cartoon character is deeply etched in my memory. Perhaps it has to do something with the childhood fantasies when we had a single T.V. channel, and a single day (sunday) for kids…

    Its true that we all have one or more supreheroes in our lives and i am not talkin abt kids but matured people like me(hehe)…My suprehero is Harry Potter and i always believe that he really exists somewhere and i would really meet him one day..i no its very stupid but thats how superheroes are..

    Overall the father of all superhero is one and one only Lord Hanuman !! He embodies strength. He can do anything. Nothing is impossible for him. He is yet very modest and humble, satisfied to be the servant of Lord Rama. He is unaware of his own strength. He is charming in his thinking. He is courageous in his action. Hanuman is a god almost every Indian believes in.
