Though the prices in India have decreased but Bose is still the most expensive brand in audio systems in India. ’321 GS Series 2′ costs around Rs.83K. Usually there is some or the other office with the entertainment systems at Bose. Currently it comes with a free ‘Bose around-ear headphone’ and a complimentary wall-stand for speakers. Getting one from US will be very cheap, if you can hide it from custom’s eyes, but the problem with that is that Bose India will not provide service to any system purchased from outside of India if it is not custom cleared.
321 GS comes with two Gemstone® speaker, acousticmass® module, media center and a universal remote control. As always with Bose, the size of speaker and the quality and the depth of sound they produce is incomparable. They produce enough volume for night party at home and the sound quality is awesome, it gives a feel of surround sound, in Bose terms it is virtual surround sound, but it is not comparable with the sound quality of their Lifestyle® system. But then their is a big difference between the price of the two. The lowest model of Lifestyle system is almost 30K more then GS II.
Media Center can play all kind of DVDs, VCDs, and Audio & MP3 CDs. You can configure your GS system with TV, and external DVD player, satellite TV or music console. It is very easy to setu, once you have gone through the setup manual. The Acousticmass module is big in size, but can hide it under your furniture or behind curtains. If you keep it near a wall, it produce 30% better sound effects. Unlike Lifestyle system, Universal remote control that comes with GS/GSX system does not work on radio frequency. The system is also Bose link enabled. What it means is that if tomorrow you buy a Lifestyle system, then your GS system will work with it. You can share music across the two systems.
The higher model of GS II series is GSX. The only difference between the two is that GSX comes with a storage capacity of 200 hours of music. This extra feature comes with an additional cost of 26K.
