New Cocktails: Lethal Weapon

Making cocktails is a good fun. And drinking your own made cocktails is even better… because they are light on the pocket. :)

Last week I went out for dinner at Grill Room in Hyderabad. It is one of the best place to have grilled and tandoori food. Also this place has amazing collection of wines, liquors and cocktails. This time, instead of having my regular cocktail, I thought of trying something from their specialties. I do not remember the name – but here are the ingredients of the drink… Vodka, Kahlua, Bailey’s Irish cream and Cointreau.

The bartender was reluctant in telling the recipe but on forcing he told me this – Fill cocktail shaker with lot of ice. Pour one measure each of the above liquors in a cocktail shaker. Shake well… and pore it in a classic whiskey glass with lot of ice.

I have come up with my own version of the cocktail and I have named them as Lethal Weapon.

Lethal Weapon
1-1/2 measure Jack Daniel’s whiskey or any other bourbon whiskey
1 measure Kahlua
1 measure  Bailey’s Irish cream
1/2 measure Cognac

Add all in a cocktail shaker with lots of ice. Shake well and pour it over in a classic whiskey glass loaded with ice.

Lethal Weapon – Ladies
2/3 measure Vodka
1-1/2 measure Kahlua
1 measure  Bailey’s Irish cream
2/3 measure Cointreau

Add all in a cocktail shaker with lots of ice. Shake well and pour it over in a tall glass loaded with ice. For decoration, you can add chocolate syrup to the side of the glass, before pouring the drink in the glass.

ENJOY! :)

  • Sounds like the Bartender gave you a B-52 and added some vodka. The only thing the vodka will add is alcohol. The drink would be better off without it.
